Eleanor M. Dezzi founded The Dezzi Group, Ltd. in 1995. Prior to becoming President of The Dezzi Group, Mrs. Dezzi was Special Assistant to the Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania, Mark Singel. From 1984 to 1991, Mrs. Dezzi served as the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhoods during the administration of Mayor W. Wilson Goode. Mrs. Dezzi has also held positions with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and has participated in other business ventures.

Since the beginning of her career, Mrs. Dezzi has been active in civic and political causes. Mrs. Dezzi has worked on campaigns at the Federal, State and Local level. Mrs. Dezzi has served as the Campaign Director for Lynne Abraham for District Attorney of Philadelphia, Deputy Campaign Manager for the Casey for Auditor General of Pennsylvania Committee, Senior Advisor to the Casey for Treasurer Campaign and a Senior Advisor for the Campaign of United States Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr. (D-PA).

Mrs. Dezzi serves on many boards in the region. Currently, Mrs. Dezzi is the Chair of the Friends of West Catholic High School and a member of the Board of Directors of Cathedral Village Continuing Care Facility. Mrs. Dezzi served as a member and Secretary of the Philadelphia Zoning Board of Adjustments from January of 2001 to January of 2008. In 2010, Mrs. Dezzi was re-appointed by His Eminence, Justin Cardinal Rigali, for another term as a member of the Philadelphia Archdiocesan School Board after having served from 2000 to 2008. Most recently, Mrs. Dezzi was appointed by His Eminence, Justin Cardinal Rigali, as a member of his Blue Ribbon Commission to study the future of Catholic Education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

In 1996, Mrs. Dezzi was a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. In 2000, Mrs. Dezzi was a member of the Credentials Committee for the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles. In 2004, Mrs. Dezzi was elected as a Delegate to the National Convention in Boston. Mrs. Dezzi attended the Democratic National Convention in 2008 in Denver as a special guest of US Senator Robert Casey, Jr. From 2001 to present, Mrs. Dezzi has been the journal co-chair for the City of Hope Cancer Center Tri State Labor fund-raiser. Mrs. Dezzi is the host of Voices of the Village, a community and political radio talk show on WURD – 900 AM. Mrs. Dezzi is also a political commentator for Fox 29 television in Philadelphia.

Mrs. Dezzi has been honored by several organizations. Mrs. Dezzi has been included in the “Who’s Who in the Delaware Valley” and “Who’s Who of American Women.” Mrs. Dezzi was inducted into the West Catholic Hall of Fame for Government and Public Service in 1995. In 2009, Mrs. Dezzi was a co-founder of the Genevieve Society, an organization to promote professional women in the political and corporate world.

Mrs. Dezzi is one of the few women honored as the recipient of the St. John the Baptist de La Salle Medal for Distinguished Service to the Christian Brothers. In 2000, Mrs. Dezzi was named the March of Dimes Woman of the Year in the field of Business. The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) honored Mrs. Dezzi in 2001 by awarding her the Women Making History Award. Mrs. Dezzi was honored by her Alma Mater with the Gwynedd Mercy College’s Distinguished Alumna Award for 2002. In 2007, Mrs. Dezzi was named a “Women of Distinction” by The Philadelphia Business Journal. Most recently, Mrs. Dezzi was named the recipient of the St. Jeanne Jugan Award along with her Husband in recognition of their service to the Little Sisters of the Poor and the elderly poor of Philadelphia.

Mrs. Dezzi is a graduate of West Catholic High School and Gwynedd Mercy College. She resides in the Upper Roxborough section of Philadelphia with her husband, Alfred Dezzi. Mr. & Mrs. Dezzi have two adult sons and three Grandchildren.
